I have taken for my research part of Croatia called Slavonija . In Slavonia region there is a specific group of people called SOKCI. Their heritage is influenced by past and especially by neighboring country of Hungary, and many others too. Their past and customs are preserved and observed still today. My visit to “Sokacka Kuca” sent me back to faraway 1900 year . All exterior and interior of the house with its furniture 200 years ago left deep impression on me and it was unique experience. In one instant I had a feeling that the time had stopped there. It looked as if the people who lived there went to do their everyday work on the farm. This was unique opportunity to go back in the past and to see and imagine what everyday life like of one ordinary farm family was. With the help of the Family Kovacev and Mrs. Manda, who was born in 'Sokacka Kuca’ and lived there till the age of nine, I have made documentary film which had helped me as a main data source of happenings and importance of costumes in human life.
