New intermediate solid solutions between copper (I) phosphate Nasicon type CuTi2(PO4)3 , CuZr2(PO4)3 , and CuSn2(PO4)3 have been successfully prepared by high temperature solid state reaction .The three copper (I) phosphate Nasicons which are ionic conductors as well as their catalytic activity have been prepared as starting material for the solid solutions in the general formula CuZr2-xSnx(PO4)3 where x = 0.5 and x = 1.5,and CuTi2-xSnx(PO4)3 ,where x = 1 by heating in air and quenching at 700oC to maintain copper (I) oxidation state, among which CuSn2(PO4) ,and CuTi2(PO4)3 , have been prepared by a new technique .
