Saudi Arabia as the rest of the world is facing a warmer climate, and it is in the interest of all to know how energy, water and natural resources will be affected by those changes. There are several General Circulation Models around the world that produce coarse results with a horizontal resolution of 300 to 500 kilometers. This book is the first in introducing the use of PRECIS which is a Regional Climate Model to downscale GCM's outputs generating high resolution (50 kilometers or less) climate scenarios for Saudi Arabia. This information is vital for scientists as well to common citizens, and it is exceptionally precious for decision makers to better design future management plans for the nation. Even though this book is about Saudi Arabia, the techniques used can be applied easily to other regions in the world.
