Despite Ethiopia is one of the center of primary diversity for coriander, presense of diverse agro ecological conditions and market availability, coriander need not to be considered as one of the under utilized crops in the country. To contribute for its utilization and improvement, detailed appraisal of the accessions for different morpho- agronomical traits, selected chemical composition and analysis of the existing variability is necessary. This study brought out the presence of substantial genetic variability for the important quantitative and qualitative traits among ethiopian coriander accessions suggesting clue to improve the productivity of the crop through selection and breeding that enhance its cultivation. Still now many questions are remaining in coriander study like molecular and chemotaxonomic characterization, phisiological, agronomic and breeding improvements. Moreover, testing of accessions on more locations and years are highly inquired.
