For centuries, locals from the coastal regions of the south-east Asia have used Gamat or sea cucumbers for various reasons. Other than food delicacies and aphrodisiac, Gamat is also known for its medicinal purposes. Gamat is used mainly for internal and external wound healing such as post child birth or surgery. It is also said to have many other important properties from antipyretic to anticancer. Only recently studies are done, especially in tissue healing, to show these remarkable properties of Gamat. This book illustrated that Gamat also possesses special capability in promoting fracture healing. Could Gamat have other hidden medicinal properties that may be applied for the goodness of mankind? Could Gamat emerge as the next Aspirin, a wonder drug which medicinal properties were dated since 3000 BC? But only in late 19th century its important properties were established following advances in research and human curiosities. Could more human curiosities' propel Gamat as the next wonder healer?
