As a longtime manager of nursing services, one of my main objectives has been to provide opportunities to train nursing professionals in skills they need to carry out the activities inherent to the work processes and to work as educators capable of training nursing teams. In contemplating the experiences at different educational institutions with tutoring, I realized that it was possible to implement Project Tutor Nurse and bring the team leader to work closely with those they lead or the supervisor to those whom he or she supervises. Not only did tutoring target the associate as a professional but also as a person.
