The position of corporate leadership in the context of corporate governance has been emphasized in a majority of corporate governance reports and forums. In corporate leadership, the roles and responsibilities of a company's management which include the CEO, board of directors and chairman, are important. This is because these groups play very important roles in the governance of companies. In the presence of proper governance mechanisms, boards of directors and CEOs are able to significantly affect the direction that the firm takes.
