This report presents the results to identify the most relevant database(s)/resources for searching BT literature among WoS, Scopus, PubMed, GS and open access journals. BT is a research oriented science. It is a booming field that has been growing rapidly day by day in terms of its publication across the world in peer-reviewed journals. We chose four major online databases, open access journals as well as online resources to identify the most relevant database(s)/resources for searching biotechnology literature. WoS database is preferred for searching BT literature. Because of it's well defined search options such as specific subject category, journal citation reports, citations based on ranking of institutions, countries etc. For searching BT literature using journal search field Scopus retrieved more results than WoS. With PubMed and GS performed third and fourth place respectively. In addition to that we identified DOAJ and other open access directory for open access journals and also some useful online resources for BT. This result will be useful to all scientists, experts, faculties and researchers working in BT institutions.
