Youth is a critical developmental period in the course of life, when biological, physical, cognitive, and social traits mature from childhood to adulthood. Thus, youth experiment and take risks in many aspects of their lives: they engage in unplanned and unprotected sex, lack the necessary skills to negotiate for safer sex, engage in sexual activity with multiple partners, and have limited awareness on prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STI). Establishment of youth friendly services has been one of the strategies to avert increasing burden of sexual and reproductive health problems among youth. However, little is known about whether youth are utilizing existing youth friendly services and factors that affect their utilization. This book, therefore, provides findings on utilization status of youth friendly services, and identified factors which are significantly associated with utilization of youth friendly service among youth in Mekelle, Ethiopia. Hence, this book can serve as a tool for service providers, policy designers, and researchers in the area of youth reproductive health.
