‘Analysis of the Chatkhil Dialect in Noakhali District, Bangladesh' is a research work of Md. Mostafa Rashel who is a young linguist of Bangladesh. The aim of this study is to make contrastive study of the Standard Bengali Language (SBL) and the dialect at all these levels in order to establish the degree of their variance. The present research is emphasized on the level of phonology, morphology and syntax, where significant contrasts can be brought out, once the generative theories have been adapted to suit a language like Bengali, which is more highly inflected than English. International phonetic transcription has been used to provide the correct pronunciation of the Bengali sounds, words and sentences.
