The purpose of this book is to study what kind of complaints systems Mechanisms have been developed by inter-governmental organizations universal (UN, ILO and UNESCO) and regional (the Council of Europe, the Organization of American States and some others including the Organization of African Unity). The different complaints Mechanisms will be evaluated and compared. Shortcomings in them, the possible reasons for these shortcomings and positive features will be pointed out, together with de lege ferenda proposals made for the improvement of the Mechanisms.
