The study examines current African American and Latino Relations in Philadelphia and postulates on how a rise in Latino immigration may affect inter-group relations. It hypothesized that as Latino immigration grows, a contentious relationship may develop between the groups. The hypothesis could not be supported based on mixed method analysis. The study also examines how certain factors such as political representation, residential segregation, and socioeconomic status effect intra and inter group relations.
