Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has assigned its 'AAA' long-term rating on New London-Spicer Independent School District No. 345, Minn.'s series 2011B general obligation (GO) refunding bonds, reflecting our opinion of the district's eligibility for and participation in Minnesota's School District Credit Enhancement Program, which provides the security of a standing appropriation from Minnesota's general fund in the event of a school district debt payment default. Standard & Poor's also affirmed its 'AAA' long-term rating on the district's previously issued bonds. Standard & Poor's rates four different types of state programs, in more than 20 states, that provide enhancement for school bond issues.
