Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'AAA' rating on Raleigh, N.C.'s GO bonds. The rating reflects the city's: Continually diversifying and expanding economic base, anchored by state government employment and the Research Triangle Park; Solid fiscal performance, resulting in strong reserves, coupled with conservative and proactive management practices; and The maintenance of a manageable overall debt position, coupled with a 10-year capital improvement program, with all funding sources being fully identified. Raleigh is North Carolina's state capital and the county seat of Wake County.
