Abstract
TORONTO (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) Jan. 27, 2000--Standard & Poor's long-term ratings on Canadian National Railway Co. remain on CreditWatch with positive implications, where they were placed Dec. 20, 1999. Standard & Poor's also affirmed its short-term ratings on the company, which are not on CreditWatch. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its ratings on Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp. (BNSF) and units. The outlook is developing (see list below for all rating actions). The CreditWatch update follows yesterday's announcement by Canadian National of a new share repurchase program.
