Ameren Illinois Co.'s Commercial Paper Program Is Rated 'A-3' Oct 11

Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) October 3, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that it assigned its 'A-3' short-term rating to Ameren Illinois Co.'s $500 million commercial paper program. At the same time, we assigned our 'A-3' short-term corporate credit rating to the company. The utility will use the commercial paper program for working capital needs and other corporate purposes. Backing the program is Ameren Illinois's $800 million revolving credit facility, which expires in September 2013.
