Abstract
We are affirming our 'AAA' long-term issuer credit rating on the City of Mississauga. The rating reflects our opinion of the city's debt-free status, strong and diversifying economy, and very strong liquidity. The stable outlook reflects our expectations that Mississauga's operating performance will not weaken materially, potential direct debt will not exceed 30% of operating revenues within the rating horizon, and the city will maintain ample liquidity. On Oct. 3, 2011, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'AAA' long-term issuer credit rating on the City of Mississauga, in the Province of Ontario (AA-/Stable/A-1+). The outlook is stable. The rating on Mississauga reflects Standard & Poor's opinion of the city's debt-free status, strong and diversifying economy, and very strong liquidity....
