Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's CreditWire) Dec. 10, 1999--Standard & Poor's today assigned its triple-'B'-minus rating to Delta Air Lines Inc.'s $500 million 7.7% notes due 2005, $500 million 7.9% notes due 2009, and $1 billion 8.3% notes due 2029, all offered under Rule 144a, with registration rights. Proceeds will be used mostly to refinance bank debt incurred in the pending $1.8 billion acquisition of regional partner COMAIR Holdings Inc. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its outstanding ratings on the company (see list below).
