Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Jan. 5, 2007--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services today raised its issuer credit rating (ICR) on Pearland Independent School District, Texas' debt outstanding to 'A' from 'A-' based on the district's ability to maintain sound reserves in the midst of ongoing growth pressures, coupled with continued strong tax base growth. Standard & Poor's also affirmed the district's 'AAA' enhanced rating. At the same time, Standard & Poor's assigned its 'A' ICR and 'AAA' enhanced rating to the district's unlimited tax schoolhouse and refunding bonds, series 2007. The 'AAA' enhanced rating reflects the strength and liquidity of the Texas Permanent School Fund Guarantee.
