BULLETIN: Standard & Poor's To Monitor Effects of Delta Departure on Dallas-Fort Worth Int'l Sep 04

Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Sept. 8, 2004--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services will be closely monitoring the impact of Delta Air Lines Inc.'s (CCC/Negative/--) anticipated reductions at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) (A+/Stable). Delta unveiled elements of its long-awaited strategic plan today, which include 'de-hubbing' Delta's DFW operation significantly and re-deploying those assets to grow hub operations in Atlanta, Cincinnati, and Salt Lake City. Delta represents about 18% of the market at DFW. Key rating factors supporting the current rating include the airport's very low cost structure and the residual nature of its airline agreements.
