Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Dec. 15, 2006-Consolidation is in the air for the airlines, and most other North American transportation sectors are continuing to benefit from steady demand, according to a Standard & Poor's Ratings Services report published today. The Industry Report Card, 'U.S. Airlines Abuzz With Consolidation, Other North American Transportation Sectors See Steady Demand,' includes comments on 69 rated issuers in the airfreight, airline, bus, railroad, shipping, transportation equipment leasing, trucking, and related industries.
