Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Feb. 24, 2005--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services today placed its ratings on equipment trust certificates and enhanced equipment trust certificates of America West Airlines Inc. (B-/Negative/--), American Airlines Inc. (B-/Stable/--), Continental Airlines Inc. (B/Negative/--), and Northwest Airlines Inc. (B/Negative/--; includes issues of NWA Trust No. 1 and NWA Trust No. 2) on CreditWatch with negative implications. The rating action does not affect issues that are supported by bond insurance policies. Affected securities total about $13.2 billion.
