Abstract
Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has affirmed its 'A' rating on Richland, Miss.' general obligation (GO) debt. The outlook is stable. The rating reflects our view of the city's: Access to the state capital, Jackson, Miss.; Good median household income levels and very high retail sales per capita; and Very strong financial position. Richland's moderate overall net debt burden and limited local economy somewhat offset these strengths, in our view. The city's full faith and credit pledge secures the bonds. Richland, with a population more than 7,000, is in Rankin County, just outside of Jackson.
