Airline Debt Ratings Placed on CreditWatch Negative Following Terrorist Strikes on the U.S. Sep 01

Abstract LONDON (Standard & Poor's) Sept. 13, 2001--As a result of the recent acts of terrorism in the U.S., Standard & Poor's today placed its short-term corporate credit, bank loan, and other securities ratings on all U.S. airlines and related entities on CreditWatch with negative implications (see list below). At the same time, the senior unsecured debt ratings on Air Canada and on British Airways PLC (BA) and its related entity British Airways Finance (Jersey) L.P. were also placed on CreditWatch with negative implications.
