Abstract
As the debate between Congress and the Administration over the federal budget continues and the issue of the U.S. debt ceiling remains unresolved, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services placed its 'AAA/A-1+' ratings on the United States of America on CreditWatch negative on July 14.
