American University, DC Outlook Revised To Positive On Strong Financials Feb 08

Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Feb. 7, 2008--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services revised its rating outlook on District of Columbia's various bonds, issued for American University, to positive from stable, reflecting the university's consistently strong operating performance and improved liquidity. At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its 'A' standard long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on the District of Columbia's bonds, issued for American University. 'We expect that the university's strong operating performance and steady enrollment will continue,' said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Gwendolyn Shufro.
