Abstract
DALLAS (Standard & Poor's) Oct. 14, 2010--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'A' long-term rating and stable outlook to Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), Texas' series 2010A and 2010B refunding revenue bonds. At the same time, we affirmed our 'A' long-term rating and underlying rating (SPUR), with a stable outlook, on the authority's existing debt and Lower Colorado River Authority Transmission Corp.'s (TSCorp.), an obligated affiliate, existing debt. The ratings reflect our opinion of LCRA's and its affiliates': Competitive generation assets, which help LCRA in remaining an attractive supplier in the face of deregulated electricity markets in Texas in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, which could especially help the authority should it be in a situation with significant...
