California Department of Water Resources' Water System Revenue Bonds Series X&Y Rated 'AA' Mar 02

Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) March 6, 2002-Standard & Poor's assigned its double-'A' ratings to California Department of Water Resources' $232.31 million water system revenue bonds (Central Valley project) series X due Dec. 1, 2002-2022 and 2029 and $305.055 million water system revenue bonds (Central Valley project) series Y due Dec. 1, 2003, 2007-2019, and 2025. The bonds are scheduled to sell March 7, 2002. The outlook is stable At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its double-'A' rating and underlying rating (SPUR) on the department's approximately $2.3 billion of outstanding water revenue debt.
