UK Digital TV Forecasts
Digital TV Research, Aug 2011, Pages: 12
UK pay TV revenues are fast reaching maturity. UK pay TV revenues are forecast to reach US$9.3 billion in 2011, up by US$3.3 billion on 2006. However, revenues are only expected to climb by another US$250 million to reach US$9.6 billion in 2016. TV ARPU will fall as operators convert subs to bundles and as competition from free multichannel services intensifies.
Digital TV penetration has almost reached saturation point as it is exceeding 95%. However, free-to-air services are responsible for much of the recent digital TV growth. Digital pay TV penetration is not expected to climb by much and will remain below 58%.
Published in August 2011 to incorporate results for the first half of the year, the UK Digital TV Forecasts report includes:
- Succinct analysis and narrative. - Detailed digital TV and pay TV forecasts from 2006 to 2016. - Relevant background data to enable you to drill down for detail at operator level.
