Digital TV Middle East & Africa Report
Digital TV Research, May 2011, Pages: 80
Despite the recent social and political turmoil, rapid conversion to digital TV continues in the Middle East and Africa, according to a new report from Digital TV Research Ltd. Digital TV penetration for the 18 countries covered in the Digital TV Middle East & Africa report is already approaching two-thirds of the total. We forecast that digital penetration will reach 81% of TV households by 2016. Eight countries will achieve 100% penetration (and Israel will be the first to reach it – this year). Another bonus for the region's TV industry is the high birth rate, with nearly 20 million TV households to be added between 2006 and 2016.
This electronically-delivered report comes in three parts:
- A PDF file providing punchy narrative and succinct analysis in the Executive Summary and a digital TV briefing for each of 20 countries. - An excel workbook providing detailed forecasts from 2006 to 2016 for the 18 countries as well as handy comparative tables for the region. - An excel workbook providing relevant background, so that the reader can drill down for detail at operator level.
