ACCL is engaged in the manufacturing of cement and ready-mixed concrete. ACCL manufactures a range of Portland cement for general construction and special applications. In addition, ACC also offers two products namely, bulk cement and ready mix concrete. ACC is one of the top four players in the cement sector, with the market share of around 11.8%.
The total capacity of the company is 26.17 MTPA. As per plans company will grow by 12% up to 30.0 MTPA by the end of the year 2010. The company has completed the Phase I of Wadi (3 MTPA) expansion with commissioning of Bangalore (1.6 MTPA) and Bellary (1.1MTPA) split grinding units. Phase II is expected to start by H2CY10. We are expecting the company to start commercial operations of two of its plants viz. Chanda of 3.0 MTPA which includes a CPP of 25 MW by the end of CY2010. With completion of the above, ACC’s capacity will reach 30.0 MTPA from 26.17 MTPA. The company is also planning on brown field projects.
