In the fifth chapter of the report deals with consumption of calcium carbide in Russia. This section provides a supply-demand balance of the product, sectoral structure of consumption, described the current status of key industries and major enterprises consuming calcium carbide.
In the sixth chapter a forecast of market development of calcium carbide in the CIS up to 2020 is presented.
The Appendix presents addresses and contact information of key enterprises producing calcium carbide in the CIS countries.

This work is a 'desk' study, which analyzed numerous sources of information, particularly data of state bodies - the Federal Service of State Statistics (FSSS) of the Russian Federation State Committee on Statistics of CIS countries, Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia and Ukraine, the official statistics railage, sector and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as well as web-sites of company-producers and consumers of calcium carbide, and the database of 'InfoMine'.
All this allowed the authors to draw a picture of the market in CIS calcium carbide and its prospects.
