This work is a "desk" study, which analyzed numerous sources of information, particularly data of state bodies - the Federal Service of State Statistics (FSSS) of the Russian Federation State Committee on Statistics of CIS countries, Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia and Ukraine, the official statistics railage, sector and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as well as web-sites of company-producers and consumers of calcium carbide, and the database of "InfoMine".
All this allowed the authors to draw a picture of the market in CIS calcium carbide and its prospects.
