Beijing Yongle Economic Development Zone
China Knowledge Press, June 2011, Pages: 25
Beijing Yongle Economic Development Zone (Beijing Yongle EDZ) rated “BB” by China Knowledge in a research report on China’s industrial real estate published today. The EDZ was established by the Beijing municipal government in 1992 and covers an area of 4.6 sq km. It is a municipal-level park.
The EDZ is located in Tongzhou District near the intersection of Beijing, Tianjin and Langfang. It is 50 km southeast of the city center, 60 km from Beijing Capital Airport and 100 km from Tianjin Port. It lies to the west of Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway 500 m from the Langfang Exit. The Beijing-Shenyang Expressway is 10 km away from the EDZ.
The EDZ consists of two zones: Zone A and Zone B. Zone A was set up in 1992 and focuses on the development of capital-intensive and technology-intensive industries such as electronics, automobiles and machinery. Service industries like warehousing and logistics are also encouraged within the zone. Zone B was set up in 2000. Its pillar industries are labor-intensive and high-tech industries.
Industrial parks rated BB are considered attractive at a below-average level. Industrial parks with this rating are typically either in the development stage or are lacking certain important elements. There are 50 with BB rating among 254 national and municipal level industrial parks.
