Chongqing Lidu Industrial Park

Chongqing Lidu Industrial Park (Chongqing Lidu IP) rated “BB” by China Knowledge in a research report on China’s industrial real estate published today. The industrial park established by the Chongqing Fuling district government in 2002 and it is one of 30 municipal-level development parks in Chongqing. Chongqing Lidu IP Development Co Ltd is the administrative body of the industrial park. Its registered capital totals RMB 20 million.
Chongqing Lidu IP is located in Fuling District’s western area, 100 km from Chongqing’s downtown area and 70 km from Jiangbei International Airport, which ranked tenth in terms of passenger throughput in China in 2008. The Changshou-Fuling Highway and State Highway 319 run through the park from east to west. The Chongqing-Fuling-Huaihua Railway runs along the southern part of Chongqing Lidu IP. Additionally, Chongqing Lidu IP is adjacent to Fuling Deep-water Port, which has 114 docks and 160 berths.
Fuling District, where Chongqing Lidu IP is situated, is located in the middle of Chongqing. In 2008, the industrial output of Chong-qing Lidu IP was RMB 3.5 billion, up 217.2% from 2007. The industrial park’s pillar industries include food processing, fine chemicals, building materials, pharmaceuticals and machinery electronics.
Representative enterprises for each industry include Fuling Hot Pickled Mustard Tuber (Group), Fuling Chemical, Guotong New Building Material, 999 Pharmaceutical and Fuling Mingkang Electronics. Fuling Hot Pickled Mustard Tuber (Group), the largest hot pickled mustard tuber base in China, has an annual capacity of 100,000 tons of products. In 2007, the total assets and sales revenue of the company amounted to RMB 600 million and RMB 520 million, respectively.
Fuling Chemical, a state-owned enterprise with total assets valued at RMB 750 million, is located in Chongqing Lidu IP. It is the largest phosphate compound fertilizer production base in China and has an annual fertilizer production capacity of 3.5 million tons.
Industrial parks rated BB are considered attractive at a below-average level. Industrial parks with this rating are typically either in the development stage or are lacking certain important elements. There are 50 with BB rating among 254 national and municipal level industrial parks.
