China Knowledge Press, June 2011, Pages: 25
Chongqing Zhengyang Industrial Park (Chongqing Zhengyang IP) rated “B” by China Knowledge in a research report published today. The industrial park was approved and established by the Chongqing municipal government in 2003 as a municipal-level development park.
Chongqing Zhengyang IP is located in Qianjiang District. It is 6 km from Qianjiang Zhoubai Airport, which is a national civil 4C-level airport (regional small-scale airport). State Highway 319 runs through the park, while Qianjiang Railway Station is situated within the park. The Chongqing-Changsha Freeway, just to the park’s north, is under construction.
The cumulative investment in Chongqing Zhengyang IP’s infrastructure has amounted to RMB 860 million. Chongqing Zhengyang IP’s pillar industries include new building materials, chemicals and food processing.
By 2010, approximately 65 enterprises have been set up in the park with total investment of RMB 3.15 billion. Representative enterprises in the food processing industry include Chongqing Beer Group and China Yurun Food Group, while Huihao Silicon Industry is mainly engaged in the chemical industry. Building material enterprises include Qianjiang Honglong Cement and Zhengyang Glasswork.
Last year, Chongqing Zhengyang IP generated a gross industrial output of RMB 4.03 billion. It is expected to generate an industrial output of RMB 2.0 billion in 2012 according to the park’s development plans.
Industrial parks rated B are viewed as poorly established. Much effort is necessary for the creation of an attractive investment environment in these parks. There are 45 with ‘B’ rating among the 254 national or municipal-level industrial parks located across the country.
