The report investigates the current kaolin market in the CIS and forecasts its development. The report consists of 9 Sections, contains 172 pages, including 47 Figures, 65 Tables and 3 Appendices.

The first Section of the report presents a description of kaolin deposits in CIS countries and their reserves, and include a map of the greatest deposits of kaolin in the CIS.

The second Section describes the technologies used in kaolin processing and the quality requirements, together with information on grades of kaolin produced by various producers.

The third Section is about mining and production of kaolin, including information on production of kaolin of various kinds in CIS as a whole and broken by country, and on capacities of enterprises, producing primary concentrated kaolin.

The fourth Section presents an overview of the greatest producers of kaolin in Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The Section presents data on production capacities and their utilisation by enterprises, mix of products, volumes of consumption by domestic and foreign purchasers, plans of the business development.

The fifth Section analyses data of Federal Customs Service of Russia and State Customs Service of Ukraine on foreign trade in kaolin in 2003-2009.

The sixth Section presents review of prices on domestic and imported (by Russia) kaolin. Both domestic and export prices of Russian producers of kaolin are analysed.

The seventh Section focuses in the consumption of kaolin in Russia: it presents supply-demand balance of kaolin in the country, sectoral consumption pattern of kaolin. The Section describes standing of the main industries consuming kaolin: production of building ceramics, production of refractories and glass fiber, pulp-and paper industry. The Section also provides information on the main Russian and Ukrainian consumers of kaolin.

The eighth Section forecasts the consumption of kaolin in Russia, based on the expected development of the main kaolin end-uses.

The ninth, final Section presents brief characteristics of the global kaolin market, including data on world production, export, imports and consumption of kaolin.

The Appendices present information on the greatest Russian consumers of domestic and imported kaolin, as well as contact information on producers of kaolin in Russia.
