Caustic Soda Market Research in the CIS (Russian Version)

INFOMINE Research Group, October 2010, Pages: 184

The report presents an overview of the market of caustic soda in the CIS. The report was prepared on the basis of the study and analysis of data of the Federal Service of State Statistics (FSSS of the Russian Federation), Federal Customs Service (FCS), the statistics of domestic railage of the Russian Federation, State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Customs Committee, the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Statistics and Analysis of the Republic of Belarus, as well as InfoMine data. The report consists of 6 chapters, contains 184 pages, including 76 tables, 38 figures and Annex.

In the first chapter of the report information on existing technologies of production of caustic soda, their features, required raw materials, its quality and supply to producers of caustic soda are presented.

The second chapter is devoted to analysis of production of caustic soda in the CIS. This chapter lists the requirements of the existing technical normative documentation for the quality of caustic soda of various grades, production statistics of this product in 1997-2010, estimates regional pattern of the production, describes the basic producers of caustic soda.

The third chapter examines the foreign trade operations in caustic soda in Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus. It presents data on exports and imports of the product, estimates regional pattern of the supply, data on volumes of supplies of caustic soda of exporters and importers of the product.

The fourth chapter presents data on prices on caustic soda in the Russian domestic market, and analyzes data on changes in export and import prices on the products.

In the fifth chapter of the report supply-demand balance of caustic soda in Russia and Ukraine is presented. In the chapter regional and sectoral structure of consumption of the product is estimated, the key consumers of caustic soda are described, the factors that govern demand for caustic in internal markets of the countries have been analyzed.

The sixth chapter of the report is devoted to the forecast of development of production and consumption of caustic soda in Russia for the period up to 2015.

NOTE: This report is currently available in the Russian language only.
