Talc market research in the CIS (Russian Version)

This report focuses on research of current market conditions of talc in the CIS and forecast of its development. The report consists of 7 Chapters, contains 100 pages including 26 figures, 43 tables and Annex. This work is a desk study. As information sources, data of Rosstat, Inter-State Statistic Committee of CIS, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the official statistics of rail transportation of JSC ''RZD'', sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as well as internet sites of company-producers have been used. Due to the fact that in Russia road transportation is not subject to mandatory statistical reporting, in this report data on transportation by rail only are given, as well as data of some companies.
The first chapter of the report is devoted to a brief description of the world market of talc. This section presents data on production of this product in the world, demonstrates the basic country- and company-producers of talc, world prices on basic varieties of talc.
The second chapter is devoted to analysis of the mineral resource base of talc in Russia and CIS. This section presents data on the Balance-recorded deposits of talc and talc stone, enterprises mining the deposits, as well as the Balance reserves of talc resources.
The third chapter of the report is devoted to production of talc. It briefly reviews basic methods of processing of talc, gives the normative documentation for the quality of talc products, presents data on the production of talc in the CIS for 20 years (1990-2009). Also the chapter presents data on the main company-producers: a brief description of the enterprises, their production for 15 years (1995-2009), as well as data on volumes and destinations of supplies of the products in 2005-2009.
The fourth chapter is devoted to analysis of Russian foreign trade in talc in 1995-2009. The chapter analyses the export-import of talc by countries and enterprises.
In the fifth chapter, domestic (2009) and export-import (1999-2010) prices on talc are presented.
In the sixth chapter of the report consumption of talc in Russia is reviewed. In this chapter, supply-demand balance of this production, as well as consumption structure by industry is calculated and analysed. Also in the fifth chapter the basic consumers of talc by industry, their volumes of the consumption in the 2005-2009 have been presented.
In the final, seventh chapter of the report forecast of development of Russian market of talc for the period up to 2015 is presented.
The Annex includes addresses and contact data of key company-producers of talc.
