This report contains research on the current condition of the pitch coke market in the CIS countries and a forecast of market development. The report consists of six parts, contains 67 pages: including 25 figures, 37 tables and 2 appendices.
Information sources include the Federal State Statistics Service (FSSS) of the Russian Federation, the state statistics committees of CIS countries, Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation, official statistics of railroad transportation in the Russian Federation, the trade and regional press, annual and quarterly accounts, and also the internet sites of manufacturers and consumers.
The report’s first chapter features the raw materials required for manufacture of pitch coke, and their characteristics. In addition, this chapter reviews the methods and peculiarities of pitch coke production.
The second chapter of the report is devoted to manufacture of pitch coke in the CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine). It cites data on the process flow of production (1994-2009) in enterprises of the CIS. In addition, a part of the chapter is devoted to describing the current condition of the main manufacturers of pitch coke in the CIS - including information about their deliveries.
The third chapter of the report deals with pitch coke foreign trade operations in Russia (1994-2009) and in Ukraine (1999-2009).
The fourth chapter analyses changes to export-import prices of pitch coke in Russia (1994-2009) and in Ukraine (2001-2009), and provides current domestic pitch coke prices.
The fifth chapter of the report considers consumption of pitch coke in Russia. This section examines the balance of manufacture and consumption of pitch coke (1994-2009), as well as the industrial structure of consumption; gives the main Russian consumers (with consumption volumes in 2003-2009); and examines the status and prospects of development for the largest enterprises-consumers (aluminium and electrode factories).
The sixth and final chapter of the report outlines the pitch coke manufacturing outlook in Russia and Ukraine, and a pitch coke consumption forecast in Russia until 2015.
