Brookings, SD's 2011 Electric System Revenue Bonds Assigned 'A' Rating; Outlook Stable Nov 11

Abstract NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Nov. 15, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has assigned its 'A' rating to the City of Brookings, S.D.'s electric system revenue bonds series 2011. The outlook is stable. 'The rating reflects our view of projected adequate coverage of debt service requirements for 2012, although near-term volatility in sales could affect the projection, a primary credit concern in the near term, but less so in the long term; and a historically steady growth trend in electric sales,' said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Jeffrey Panger.
