Bennett Valley Union School District, CA's Series 2011 GO Bonds Assigned 'AA-' Rating Mar 11

Abstract SAN FRANCISCO (Standard & Poor's) March 1, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services assigned its 'AA-' long-term rating to Bennett Valley Union School District, Calif.'s general obligation (GO) bonds, series 2011. The outlook is stable. 'The rating reflects our view of the district's very strong wealth and income levels, very strong general fund balances, and additional revenues from leasing unused school sites and foundation money, which provide revenue flexibility,' said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Bryan Moore. We understand that bond proceeds will be used to upgrade facilities and to install solar panels for energy saving purposes. Management expects the district will save $70,000 annually in energy costs due to the installation of these solar panels. Bennett Valley Union School District...
