Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) Nov. 15, 2011--Since the liquidity squeeze in 2008, produce companies have worked on strengthening their credit measures. Many of them have taken advantage of favorable market conditions during the past few years and refinanced their credit facilities to extend maturities, reach more favorable terms, and loosen covenants. And they've continued to do so this year, according to a Standard & Poor's Ratings Services report published today. Standard & Poor's rates five U.S.-based produce companies, four of which with a stable outlook: Chiquita Brands International Inc. (B/Stable/--), Dole Food Co. Inc.
