Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) March 26, 2010--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services today raised its long-term rating to 'BBB' from 'BB+' on $395 million series 2000D, 2006A, 2007A, and 2007B bonds issued by the New York State Dormitory Authority for NYU Hospitals Center (NYUHC). The rating outlook is stable. The upgrade reflects our assessment of the significant management and structural transformations at the NYU Langone Medical Center (NYUHC and the NYU School of Medicine) that have resulted in vastly improved earnings. Although the balance sheet remains weak for the rating level and NYUHC has ample capital needs and plans, we believe that NYUHC's higher level of earnings and cash flow are sustainable and so liquidity will continue to improve over...
