In the Annexes the addresses and contact data of the largest enterprises producing table salt in the CIS, as well as a map of the location of the largest deposits of sodium chloride in the CIS are provided.
These findings stem from a desk-based study, in the course of which data from multiple sources of information were analyzed, including state bodies such as the Inter-State Statistics Committee of CIS, the Federal Service of State Statistics (FSSS or Rosstat) of Russia, the State Statistics Committee (SSC) of Ukraine, the State Balances of Mineral Reserves, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, the State Customs Services of Ukraine and Belarus, and the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan. Other sources include companies, the Infomine database, media materials and the internet.
All the above enabled the authors to draw a detailed and accurate picture of the sodium chloride market in the CIS/Russia and its prospects.
It should be noted that, regarding the production of sodium chloride in the CIS, the experts of InfoMine have included, in addition to edible sodium chloride, also brines processed by chemical enterprises, as well as technical and fodder salt. All data on volumes of brine production are given in equivalent of solid product.
