INFOMINE Research Group, Sep 2010, Pages: 139
This study focuses on market analysis of glass-basalt-reinforced plastic pipes in Russia. The work consists of 9 chapters (139 pages) and the text is illustrated with 45 tables and 25 figures.
Chapters 1-2 briefly introduce the properties of glass-basalt-reinforced plastic pipes and demonstrate their basic competitive advantages compared with other types of pipes.
Information presented in Chapter 3 on resources provision (glass, basalt fibers and resins) for commodity production of glass-basalt-reinforced plastic pipes suggests that the industry in future will face constraints. The chapter provides an overview of technologies used in the production of plastic pipes - with an estimate of possible costs of their use.
Chapter 4 is the main part of the study. In addition to characteristics of the industry, the chapter provides detailed information on all major enterprise-producers. A strong focus is placed on the analysis of production and the definition of segments in which they operate.
In Chapters 5 and 6, detailed analysis of foreign trade operations in glass-basalt-reinforced plastic pipes is given, with data on dynamics of their import and export, the main features of the foreign producers operating in the Russian market, and existing industries in the CIS countries.
Chapter 7 examines the practice of the use of glass-reinforced plastic pipes and the prospect of development of their major end-uses, and assesses the capacity of the Russian pipe market in the oil industry and for pipeline systems in housing and communal services.
Chapter 8 provides information on domestic equipment for production of glass-basalt-reinforced plastic pipes. A compilation of results of the analysis of all materials is provided in Chapter 9, which provides expert assessment of the production of glass-basalt-reinforced plastic pipes in Russia for the period up to 2015.
The major and primary source materials for this study was the data of companies and telephone interviews with their representatives. They allowed Infomine to estimate the condition of the sector as a whole and the position of each company, and to make adjustments to the data of the Federal State Statistics Service (FSSS) of Russia, which inaccurately and incorrectly reflect the situation in the industry. Foreign trade transactions were analyzed on the basis of data from the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia. Information from regional media produced considerable assistance.
Glass-Basalt-Reinforced Plastic Pipes Market Research in Russia will help professionals in their own assessment of the market, and in making good decisions in the current market conditions.
