Feldspar market research in the CIS (Russian Version)

This report is devoted to research of the feldspar market and current standing of feldspar producers in CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) member states, as well as the impact of the financial-economic crisis on the feldspar product market.
The first section of the report provides a brief outline of the feldspar world market. It presents data on mining of the mineral resources in various countries of the world in 2000-2008, the pattern of consumption of feldspar in USA and tracks how feldspar price changes over the last 10 years, as well as the prices of particular types of feldspar products in some countries of the world.
The second section of the report describes the resource base of feldspar in CIS countries. It presents the regional pattern of location of reserves in Russia, data on reserves of the greatest deposits, as well as data on reserves of feldspar in other CIS countries.
The third section describes the production processes of feldspar products and requirements/regulations imposed on their quality.
The fourth section is devoted to production of feldspar products in CIS countries. This section provides statistical data on production of feldspar materials in Russia (2000-2008), as well as in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (2003-2008); profiles the leading producers of feldspar in Russia, including data on mix of the products, volumes and destinations of supplies for the past 3 years; and measurs the impact of the global recession on production development. The fourth section also describes producers of feldspar products in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The fifth section of the report analyses foreign trade operations of CIS countries in feldspar products. It presents statistical data on foreign trade operations in volume and money terms, the regional pattern of export and import of feldspar, and product data on volumes and destinations for exporters and importers.
The sixth section of the report is devoted to consumption of feldspar in CIS countries. This section provides a supply-demand balance of feldspar in Russia (2000-2008); estimates the sectoral and regional pattern of consumption of feldspar products; and describes the current standing of the greatest enterprise-consumers of feldspar. In addition, this section presents a supply-demand balance of feldspar products in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Belarus for 2003-2007. The authors also analyse the consumption of feldspar substitute products by the glass and ceramic industry of Russia and other CIS members.
The seventh and final section of the report forecasts the development of the feldspar product market in Russia and other CIS countries up to 2012, taking into account the impact of the financial-economic crisis.
The Appendix provides contact data for the main company-producers of feldspar products in CIS countries.
The report findings are mostly the result of desk-based study - based on expert analysis of statistical information from official sources, the print press and other mass-media, company press-releases, the annual and quarterly reports of companies, and more. In addition Infomine conducted telephone interviews with representatives of feldspar product producers. The report is composed of seven sections, comprising 129 pages, 21 figures, 52 tables and Appendix.
