Lime Market Research in Russia (Russian Version)

The report is devoted to the studying of the lime market in Russia. This 154-page report includes six sections including 49 tables, 37 figures and Appendix. Findings are the result of desk-based study. Information sources include the Federal Service of State Statistics (Rosstat), Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS), official domestic railage statistics of JSC RZhD (former Ministry of Railways of Russia), company data, the sector and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, and websites of company-producers of lime.
The first section of the report is devoted to a description of production processes of obtaining lime, and analysis of reserves of resources for lime production in Russia. The section presents data on the quantity of limestone deposits, their geographic location, reserves and degree of development, and production destinations of supplies of lime.
The second section of the report provides the requirements imposed on quality of lime (imposed by industrial end-users).
The third section is devoted to production of lime in Russia. The report contains official statistics of output of building and technological lime in the country (2000-2009), and data on the regional pattern of production and volumes of lime by various producers. It contains a description of the current standing of leading players in the Russian lime market, including ownership pattern, available production capacities, lime kilning technologies, volumes of production, range and quality of products, and flows (destinations) and volumes of lime supplies. This section also describes plans for business development, including the modernisation of lime production.
The fourth section is devoted to consumption of lime in Russia and contains a supply-demand balance of lime, as well as an estimate of sectoral (by end-use) and regional pattern of lime consumption - with analysis of the effect of seasonality on lime supplies.
The fifth section is devoted to analysis of price in the Russian lime market. It also examines the prices of Russian lime producers in 2001-2009, the current prices of some producers, export-import prices, and a forecast of prices Russian lime up to 2015.
The sixth section includes a forecast of lime production in Russia up to 2015, as well as a forecast of consumption of lime in Russia for 2010-2015 -prepared on the basis of forecast of development of lime end-uses.
The Appendix contains addresses and contact information for leading Russian producers and consumers of lime.
