Gypsum and Gypsum Stone Market Research in the CIS (Russian Version)

This report is devoted to researching the current standing of the gypsum stone and gypsum market in CIS countries, and forecasting its development.
The 113-page report is composed of nine sections, including 21 figures, 46 tables and an Appendix. Findings are the result of desk-based research. Information sources include the Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia (Rosstat, FSSS of Russia), State Committees on Statistics of CIS countries, Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS of Russia), State Customs Committee of Ukraine (SCC of Ukraine), official Russian domestic railage statistics, sectoral and regional mass-media, yearly and quarterly company reports, as well as websites of enterprise-producers and consumers of gypsum and gypsum articles.
The first section of the report is devoted to characteristics of the world gypsum market.
The second section of the report describes the gypsum resources base in CIS countries. It presents data on quantity of deposits and reserves of gypsum in CIS countries, and a brief description of the main deposits. A regional pattern of location of gypsum reserves in Russia is also feature.
The third section of the report explains the requirements and regulations imposed on quality of gypsum stone, gypsum and gypsum binders.
The fourth section analyses data on volumes of mining of gypsum stone and production of gypsum in CIS countries during 2000-2007. It presents a regional pattern of production of gypsum stone and gypsum in Russia in 2007, a commodity pattern of gypsum production in Russia in 2007, and data on volumes of mining of gypsum stone and production of gypsum by leading enterprises (2002-2007).
The fifth section investigates the current standing of gypsum industry enterprises in CIS countries. It presents data on enterprise market share, volumes and assortment of their products, investment realisation, and volumes and destinations of commodity products supplies.
The sixth section analyses foreign trade of gypsum in Russia and Ukraine in 2000-2007, as well as Kazakhstan in 2005-2007. It also provides data on volumes of export and import of gypsum and gypsum stone in bulk and in money terms, analyses the regional pattern of supplies, and presents data on volumes and destinations of supplies of leading exporters and importers of gypsum.
The seventh section of the report is devoted to analysis of domestic consumption of gypsum in Russia. This section presents a supply-demand balance of gypsum and gypsum stone; analyses the effect of seasonality; and presents data on sectoral and regional pattern of consumption, volumes and destinations of gypsum and gypsum stone supplies to the largest consumers for the past 3 years. In addition, this section describes the current standing and prospects of development of the main end-uses of gypsum.
The eighth section of the report features a price analysis. It provides data on the average producer’s prices for gypsum and gypsum stone in Russia for the period from 2001 to 2007, as well as current prices of gypsum products of some Russian producers. Changes to export-import prices of gypsum and gypsum stone are shown, and a forecast of prices for the period up to 2015 is given.
The ninth and final section of the report presents a forecast of development of the gypsum market in CIS countries up to 2015.
The Appendix contains addresses and contact information for the main enterprises in the gypsum industry in CIS countries.
