China ranks as the largest wind energy market in the world with an installed capacity of 44,733 MW at the end of 2010, an increase of 73% on the prior year. 29,576 MW of this capacity was grid-connected. 30 out of 32 regions had installed wind capacity with Inner Mongolia having the largest overall installed capacity at 13,858 MW. 12,904 turbines from 38 manufacturers were installed in 2010 with Sinovel being the largest, accounting for 22.5% of the total added units.
